Default speedometer not working right

my speedo is not working correctly.

i was wondering where the speedo plugs into the tranny for the speed because that would be easier to find then rippin my whole dash apart.

Yet another post without any vehicle info, not even a model year. No one can answer your question without knowing that.

Output Shaft Speed sensor. Left rear of the transmission. Automatic is in the main case, manual is in the extension housing.

It's a two wire sensor with dark blue/yellow and gray/red wires. That should ID it for you.
