Default HID question

I ordered one of those cheap HID kits off ebay installed everything yesterday and no luck! I did the drivers side first and turned my lights on just to make sure it worked and the first side did. So i go onto the next side then neither side work.Reversed polarity started the truck flicked the high beams i did it all. I tried the bulbs and ballasts in my buddies truck they both work. Do i need to get one of those relay kits off ebay? let me know what you think. Thanks!

There are fuses in the underhood fuse panel. You do not need a relay. The HID kids use less amps than your stock headlights. A relay will gain you nothing. You can, but it is not needed.
