7inch stereo???
I have a 1991 Ford Ranger. Can i fit a 7" inch stereo to take place of the factory stereo???

Face it. There isn't a 7" spot for a head unit. Can you fabricate a bracket to hold one? Absolutely! Will it be pretty to look at? Probably not.
The big question is how ugly can you live with? Otherwise, you're going to need a lot of customization skills. That's a long way from a new truck. Is it worth it? I can't answer that.

You would be ok with a single DIN with the motorized display that comes out of the unit but the biggest those are is 6" IIRC.
