Justin, why were the 4-ways a stupid mistake? I have been considering moving the speakers I linked above to the back doors and getting some 3 or 4-ways for the front. What don't you like about them? I'm looking for real crisp treble and I thought the 4-way Pioneers would be good for that.

I just feel 4 ways are overkill. 3 ways are perfect I feel for those highs mids and lows.

And those ones you have...wow, those must be freaking nice! I have some JLs in my civic, but without an amp i just don't get the really really nice sound they are capable of.

Of course an amp will unleash aftermarket speakers full potential, but with just my JVC receiver they sound so amazing and get so loud w/o any distortion that I'm not going to need an amp.

I assume you are going to wire those subs to 2 ohms. In which case the largest amp would be too much and you risk blowing out your subs. The mid sized is a bit under powered at 400 watts. I'll be honest, I have never heard of orion, so I cannot give any input on whether or not they are good amps or not.

Also, If you haven't bought your subs yet,
These kickers: Kicker 05CVR104 10" Component Subwoofers Car Subwoofers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix
have the same RMS value and are cheaper.

And this kicker: Kicker 07CVR104 10" Component Subwoofers Car Subwoofers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix
is 400 RMS and $10 cheaper. (I ordered a one of these in the shallow mount variety for my truck a few days ago. Some have said they really thump)

Good luck

Ihave the subs already, if you could reccomend an amp to power those to the limit that would be great...the box says they have a 4ohm impedence...can i still wire them to 2?

Subwoofer Installation Guide
Wiring in "parrallel" will give you a 2 ohm impedence and increase the output from the amp.

Kenwood KAC-8104D (kac8104d) Mono Subwoofer Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix

Pioneer GM-D8400M (gmd8400m) Mono Subwoofer Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio Car Audio, Video, & GPS Navigation - Sonic Electronix

Either of these two would work

The pioneer costs more, but puts the extra 100 watts into your system.
