Unhappy Air Bag Light

I just bought a 1998 Ranger Ext. Most all of the lights were burned out in the instrument cluster. I found some great instructions on how to fix the lights on this forum. I replaced them with no problem this morning. However, when I got everything back together and the truck running, I now have an airbag light on that I didn't before. What did I mess up under the dash to get the light? By the way I disconnected the battery while doing the work. I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Thanks, Mark

pulling the cluster shouldn't have caused the air bag light. does it flash? if so, count how many times. should flash a 2 digit code, ie 2 times, pause, 7 times, long pause, then it repeats.

It flashes, but I don't know the code. I will find out.

2-7 means the bulb at the passenger air bag turn off switch is burnt out.

Previous owner may have pulled the bulb. They couldn't figure out why it was flashing.

You have to solder in a new bulb. You cant just replace it with a wedge bulb.
