Post HID 35watt vs 55watt

Hey yall. I'm looking to replace my 35 watt 8000k HIDs to some 55 watt. Do anyone on here has 55 watts and what they look like at night and how they are compared to the 35 watt. I need a little bit more brightness on the roads due to my roads are all back roads and extremely dark at night. I want them to match the color of the bottom fog lights which are 35 watt 8000k. So, are you supposed to get 2k more when it comes to 55 watt and it will produce the 35 watt color but yet more brighter? Like 10000k 55 watt= 8000k 35 watt color yet more brighter? Hope that is understandable lol. Any help on this topic would be greatly appreciated. I like to buy the kit today. Thanks

Yes really, I'm at work and it's boring down here. So I'm on the computer all day might as well. Do you have anything towards this?

youre probably not going to get a perfect match, and its not really worth it to upgrade IMO, especially in the high kelvin values, where light is diminished through the color anyways

Well I really don't know what to do. I want some more brightness to my lights so I thought maybe to get some 55 watts. Then I wanted to go and get off road lights yet I still want to keep my truck style the way it is and not turn it to an off road look no offense if taken. So I really don't know what to do. They off roads behind the grille looks bad ass. And then again a 55 watt kit upgrade could also solve the light issue here. So really, I do not know. I'm puzzled ^_^

From DDMTuning:

Quote:
Our 55w HID kits are 40% brighter than the standard 35w kits.
