So, I broke down & got an 01 tail light wiring harness from my buddy Bird76Mojo (arrived today man, thanks!) but upon inspection, I noticed that the plug in connectors for the tail light bulbs are a very different shape than my 96 has or even the extra bulb holders I have... this isn't a big deal, I'll just trim off the original ones & graft on the others I have.
( I recently got a set of 01 tail lights from another member, Bird76Mojo posted his a couple days after I bought mine )

Question is.......

Which wire does what?!?

On one 3 wire connector I have Yellow, Gray & Black/Yellow stripe
On the other 3 wire connector I have Black/Yellow stripe, Gray & Purple
On the 2 wire connectors I have Brown/Yellow & Black/Yellow

I'm guessing the black/yellow is the ground, but does anyone know which of the other wires are the "major" & "minor" ie: brake, turn, etc.

I know I should just plug it in & test each wire, but I can't get my truck in the garage & it's too darn hot outside to be fooling around with this stuff.

Test light is your friend

makes finding which wire is which very easy. Can be bought at auto store for 7 bucks
