Tonight I flashed my brights in my drive against my house, and the one on the passenger side isn't coming on as bright, the driver side works fine. The bulb doesn't move or nothing. I am pretty sure its not burnt out... what can cause this? I got it to come on a few times earlier by hitting the light with my fist gently, but firm. It would stay on until I turned the brights off but wouldn't come back on unless I hit again. I have checked all the wires I could see at night and all looks good. Checked fuses no blown fuses on the ranger's part, the fuse that the lights themselves have appears to be good. The relay is working or else the lights wouldn't work....

This is a Ztec kit.

Hope they actually text ya back this late... would be nice to wake up with the answer to the problem lol. I got a friend that lives near by that frequents these forums and hes good with electrical stuff maybe he can figure it out if your friend don't know.

I had same issue with cobalt. It was an apex from ddm. Seemed To be the bulb wasn't in just right. Adjusting it fixed issue.

i kno that sounds funny but i would try another bulb b4 buying ballast or try switching them around at least. i was being told ballast but for some reason it was just sitting in such a way the bulb wouldnt move. it was almost cross threaded in...

Well here's the thing; if you buy new bulbs and realize it's the ballast, then you need new ballast. Those two together will add up more than just buying a whole new kit. I would suggest buying a new kit and then testing each thing out. First the new bulbs on the old ballast and then the new ballast on the old bulbs. Old bulbs don't work on new ballast, it's the ballast. If not, it's the bulbs.

What do you mean by switching them around? As in switching the connectors on the ballast or literally turning the bulbs around?

Yeah you can do that and, if the bulb does not light up, then you know for sure the ballast is not working and you would need some new ones. And I do sell them ^_^

It's the bulb thing that's bad. I swapped them and it still didn't work ! Thus thing is under warranty haven't had them but a few months. How do I get a warranty claim?
