Re: The ultimate Ranger PCB LED Exterior Lighting project
Designed some beauty shields to fit around the projector. They will be exposed, also I will paint them to match the body.

Re: The ultimate Ranger PCB LED Exterior Lighting project
I sandblasted the polished stainless steel beauty ring, so I could paint it. I also cut my beauty shields from Plexiglas
.
I painted the cutoff shield bright orange, so it looks orange when the projectors are off. Also here are the beauty rings painted to match the body.
Painted beauty shields
Sorta how it will look when it's all together

Re: The ultimate Ranger PCB LED Exterior Lighting project
Work looks amazing! not a fan of the color matching especially on those corners, they just look cheap. should have done some taping and painted the out side rim of the lens.

I've seen them like that and I actually liked it less. I'm going to use 06+ OEM corners next, or ones that are replicas of the 04 but clear. I think I want to do a set for both trucks with reflectors. These will do for now though.

ya that would be better for sure, the fluted lenses just don't fit. I like the fogs they turned out great.

they are waved, not flutted. I chose those for optical reasons - the LEDs appear even brighter. I don't like not having a reflector

Re: The ultimate Ranger PCB LED Exterior Lighting project
I took some fusion output photos. This is just the fog lights, with my modification to the cutoff. These are 4300K, 35W.
Above the cutoff:
On the flicker color band of the cutoff:
Foreground lighting (with my foreground reducer eliminator mod to the shield):
Color projection at 90 degrees. Nice thing is that the paint on this truck is white, so it is a very true example of the color you get. I am impressed it is very stable!:
Distance - about 50 feet. Please note this is a highly uneven driveway, and they look higher because the rear wheels are sunk down, and the driveway is crooked as well:
