I found that the ones I have can't be pulled apart because the flange on the lens is not perpendicular to the surface of the lens.

I'll try your process if you can describe it in intimate detail. Even with heating these up to 220 and taking it really slow I was still cracking the lenses because they are dug in from a different angle.

they have a lip on the lense. i used the heat gun but u can't leave it in one place it will burn the plastic ofcourse lol. i used 4 screwdrivers. do a area like 6 inches long as to not break the lense. once hot and the glue is melted i put a screwdriver under the lip and pulled up just alittle moved the heat gun over melted the glue in the next spot put a screwdriver in that spot. than let the glue dry again. i took a small pick and picked the glue out that was in between the screwdrivers. heated a new section. than same process useing the pick to take the glue out near the end of the last spot all i had to do is pull up on two screwdrivers and the melted glue in that section just streacheed and i cut it. after they were apart i cleaned the glue out from were the plastic lip sits into the chrome part with the pick after i figured out how to do the first one the second was so easy.

I'll try flooding one with oven cleaner then using your process. I still need to do another set for the 04 (first set is for the 03)

I think these are from a different manufacturer with a different design.

This is who makes mine.

I have been using a heat gun, after I cut off the center portion of the body, I remove the perimeter by first cutting it into 2 inch long strips and removing them one at a time. I think the glue on mine is just much tougher than the ones you've got. I haven't tried it after using the oven cleaner though.

I have all 4 pieces I need (2 lenses, 2 housings). Took apart the inner-lenses on one of them today and did some oven-cleaner-dechroming. Also starting to develop pattern size/shape.
