gas light on dash??
hey guys i feel so stupid for asking this but i have been driving my truck for a while now and this is the farthest i have gone down in gas. i am at about 266 miles on the tanks and i wanted to know if any light goes on that lets me know i am real low. all of our veichals have the gas light but looking at my gauges realy close i dont see anywere for it to light up, thanks

theres a light that says check gauge thats the gas light

Mine does. I would imagine yours does to. I dont know for sure but i always thought that light came on when you roughly had 40-60 miles left but im not positive. I push mine to the limit all the time LOL I can go pretty far after the light

The check gage light comes on when the fuel level reaches a certain percentage, right about in the red on the gauge. Depends on how your drive and terrain but it is roughly 50 miles of usable fuel.

What year did they apply the low fuel light? I have a Check engine and a Fuel light.

Mine has CHECK GAGE which covers the fuel, temperature, oil, and voltage.

only the clusters with a tach will display a the "check gage" light when the fuel gets low. a non-tach cluster has no light for low fuel.

Thanks guys and I went out about an hr ago and it ended up turning on. I got 17.5 mpg!
