Default AirBag

My airbag light on the dash keeps coming on and blinking, then going away for a bit, then coming back and doing it again... I turned the Passenger airbag off and then turned it back on again and no luck. It still blinks and it does this for about a week and then goes away... then comes back a few months later. I don't have a scanner and can't get a hold of one. Any ideas???

I'm stumped at what it is... Any Info would be much appreciated! Thanks!

i've been doing some research and i think its a Code 27 which seems to be typical for Ford Motor Co. Cuz I found a forum on the internet that was addressing the same problem that i have currently. it was pretty neat.

Some assembly required...

This is usually caused by a burned out bulb in the PAD switch. Ford wants you to buy a $200 switch assembly to fix it but the bulb can be replaced for a couple of bucks if you can solder.

ok so i had some free time at work the other day and i took the airbag switch assembly apart, cleaned out the connections and cleaned out the inside and wipe the circuit board with a microfiber cloth.... the airbag light on the dash went away.. however, today it came back, only now its solid (not blinking like it was before)..

My "off" light isn't burnt out because it does its business when i go to start the truck...

SO, having said that, Any Idea's...?

Thanks in Advance...!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
