well, you can wire them just as you'd wire any other aux lighting...

but, if you want it to look/operate like it was factory, you'll need to do some research on your truck to determine what/how much work you need to do --

a) does your truck have the wiring harness installed to support fog lights?
a-1) check underneath the front end to see if the fog pigtail attachments are there. if they are, they'll be near the front ABS connectors near each front wheel.
a-2) check behind the radio bezel to see if you have the wiring harness for the stock foglight switch. it's a six conductor plug that will be clipped into the "blank" part of the radio bezel where the fog light switch would be if you had one.

if all the above checks out, then it's likely that all you'll need to do is locate a new (to you) bezel that has the fog light switch installed. swap 'em out and hook up the fog light switch to the harness. plug the fog light pigtails into the sockets you found behind the front wheels. then, pop open the under-hood fuse box and add the missing fog light relay, and you're in business.

if any of the above checks did not pan out, then you'll need to rig up the appropriate wiring in place of the missing factory wiring. in many cases, everything you need is already in place (except for the relay and the fog lights) on non-fog equipped trucks. sometimes the pigtails and/or switch wiring are not in place...

the above method that RAT Ranger posted is the best (and 'factory') way to do it. But I was impatient and didn't want to deal with routing wire thru the firewall so I wired it so the fogs are always on with my running lights (switchless), like this:

In fact, the only difference between these 2 diagrams is how the relay's 85 pin is set up.

A few tips----mount your relay and your fuse as close to the battery as possible.
-Use 8-12 gauge wire. Its better to be alittle overkill with thick, low gauge wire than to be insufficient/dangerous with thin wire.

well... almost. I believe the "factory" method is to switch the negative (ground) lead, rather than the positive -- that way, if the wire shorts going through the firewall, the worst thing that happens is the fog lights come on; if a positive wire shorts going through the firewall, you'll blow a fuse and/or start a fire.

true, i wasnt sure if ford wired it exactly like that 1st diagram, that's why i put quotes around the word 'factory'. I just meant factory in the sense that there's a cabin switch
