I can only say the color is a purplish blueish indigo. You've walked under a blacklight before right? This is the exact color. UV will make anything white look "glow in the dark" - so your white shoelaces will glow under these.

Re: Some LED Modifications I've been doing the last few days...
I just got a fresh supply of transistors for this mod if anyone wants to buy a kit to do this mod. I have red, amber and ultra violet. Only one pair of each.

My kit is for the doors only. I can provide you with Amber, Red or Violet (actually its ultraviolet - so "black light")
It will give you all of the parts you need and most importantly the instructions on how to do the door lighting mod. The lights will turn on/off when you open/close your doors. All the engineering done by me - tried and tested - bugs figured out and solved.
When you purchase my kit you will need to supply:
1 - Rubbing alcohol to clean the doors near the hem so that the tape will stick.
2 - about 1 to 2 hours of labor per door depending on how good you are.
3 - a little bit of solder
4 - electrical tape or shrink wrap.
5 - a metal coat-hanger
6 - about 10 feet or so of wire, 22/20 gauge will work good.
7 - tools/talent you need to take off your door panels
It is first come first serve on the LEDs.
On a seperate note I have Excellent Blue LEDs that will also work wonders if anybody wants to do the ambient lighting. I'll sell those too if anyone wants to do the mod.

I would like to do the blue. Right now I have two strips of blue LED on each door panel and they look nice but I cannot find a one strip that long like your in the picture. I would love to do that with your strip. I know how to wire and all that good stuff. If you can could you send me a picture of the kit that you have? Thank you.

I can get you the blue ones but they have to be special ordered. The "Kit" is pieced together by electronic parts that I put together for you. I spent the time and money into testing and developing this mod. I actually have a patent pending for it too right now. If you want a blue kit I can put one together for you for 120$.

Re: Some LED Modifications I've been doing the last few days...
Could you take a picture of it at daytime. And what's this talk about connecting it so that it only lights up when the door opens? Because mine lights up on both sides when I want to open "a" door. I would love to make it light up only when one door opens and the other stays off.

When the sun is shining on the ground in the day you can't see the ground light up. If you look right at the LEDs you can see them but you can't see the rays of light on the ground so to speak.
Mine only light up when I open a door. If I open the drivers side door, while the door is open the drivers side is lit up. As soon as the door is closed they go out. Same thing with the passenger door. Door open = that specific LED is on. I accomplish this with a special diode/transistor circuit that I made (this is the kit you are buying)

Re: Some LED Modifications I've been doing the last few days...
Ill buy the red ones depending on how rough it is to install this. They would go perfect with my red and black rims
