Alternator Upgrade
I want to upgrade my 95 amp alternator to a 130 amp.
130 amp alternator Small print on the ad says you need to replace factory wiring with a heavier gauge. Do I really need to do this going from 95 amp to 130 amp? TIA

I’d just add on instead of replacing wire, look into perhaps doing the “ big 3 “ with some 4ga

What size wire is attached to the alternator? If you are going for the 130 amp only then #6 will be good. I believe #6 should be what is there now. If you go with a larger wire run a fuse on that wire. They have some great pricing on the 200+ alternators.
