Default ABS light maybe control module? Help!

Hi I wonder if anyone can help me with this?

The ABS light stays lit. Brake sensors have been changed and the braking system checked with no problems. I have been advised that it might be the control module. However a new ABS control module for my truck costs over 3000, yes I couldn't believe it either!

Here's the longer version..
The Ford garage said they could not use a diagnostic tool to work out why the ABS light was on as the truck was too old. They advised me to go to a Mazda garage. I took the truck to a Mazda garage who said they were unable to get a fault code, it could be the control module, but I should take it to a Ford garage!

Any ideas would be welcomed. I am in the UK.
Thank you.

If the truck is 1996 or newer I would find somebody with a scan tool or buy one that can read ABS codes. You could still have a problem with wheel hub tone rings or sensor spacing. Until you identify the problem don't throw parts at it.
