1996 ford Ranger 4cyl won't start. lights alarm all have power. I have relplaced the starter solenoid but still nothing from the starter. I can cross the solenoid and it will start. What are my next steps? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Make sure the wire from the ignition switch has power when you turn the key.Check the starter relay in the under hood fuse box.

The small wire on the solenoid that comes from he switch sometimes gets corroarded and soesn't make good contact, especially if its the one with the spade type.
