1999 Ford Ranger Blower Motor Relay

I’m not getting any voltage at the power connector to my fan/blower motor. I checked the 40amp maxi blower motor fuse #2 located at the Power Distribution box and it reads 13VDC. I checked online and there are a couple of PDB diagrams, one shows relay #9 is the blower motor relay and another shows relay #9 to be the Fuel Pump relay.

Yet another search of a older model reveals the relay near the left passenger headlight-looked, nothing there. I just tested the wiring harness that connects to the fan control knob by shorting pin 1 and 2 and the fan failed to start.

Thoughts?

Relays rarely fail. Im not sure where you are probing for 12vdc but the resistor is a much more likely suspect for failure.

It’s the two wire connector below the arrow.
