Exclamation Help before I go bald

The problem - engine died while driving and will not start again, ran perfectly until it died.

I have checked the inertia sensor, had a full tank of gas, fuel pump is working and lines clear, vapor line also good, Good spark, tried new PCM, no ICM on this truck. All fuses are in good shape and corrosion free, including at the power distribution box, serpentine belt replaced in March of this year.

When the key is turned the engine tries to start but appears to not be getting any fuel, will not start when starter fluid is sprayed into the intake. New battery in February of this year, plug wires are all in good shape, no mechanical problems until this happened.

I am at my wits end and need help to determine what is causing the truck to not start.

Check for spark. If you're getting spark too.. Compression test it.... report back

already confirmed that I have good spark. How can I do a compression test? I am not mechanically inclined and trying to fix myself instead of sending to a mechanic.

Also, any idea what can cause it to just stop running without warning?

I see, so you're going to take a uphill battle per se and do so in the dead of winter approach... got it.

I'd youtube a how to video or two, rent a compression tool from a big box parts store, and or start buying some tools and self learn that skill set of being mechanically inclined to save you that money for tools and self sufficiency...

If the rings or other internals are toast, you may be getting a mechanic involved after all or a small headache of swapping a JY engine in its place
