Default 02 Ranger power windows

I have a 02 ranger that the left window didnt wor. Right side was good. While checking out the motor the right stopped working from the left side. The right side switch work the right window fine. After replacing the driver side window motor, the left side is fine. But the right side will not work from the left door. I changed the switch twice with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Wade

So the right side switch works the window fine?

Did you check to see if you had power/ground at the switch or if it was plugged in correctly after working on the door panel as hindsight?

I did check all the wiring about a dozen times. Man, these kind of opportunities drives me nuts!

Tuesday morning as I was leaving for work I tried the right side. It worked fine then as I was going for lunch it wouldn't work and hasn't since.

Thanks for the help.

Your colors should be the following

LF WINDOW UP/DN|wht/blk - red|A|driver window motor
RF WINDOW UP/DN|wht/yel - tan/lt blu|A|driver door harness or PKP

if you get triggers on these wires after confirming 12v and ground, then you have a switch issue. Make sure you check both switches, start at drivers door for power/triggers. Then go to Passenger side. Again passenger side should be the Master switch for whatever reason Ford does that on certain platforms.

If no power then you have a relay or a fuse issue, possibly a bad wire or bad motor in the regulator. You can also check the regulator by unplugging it at the connector and making a temp harness (alligator clips test leads work great for this) to plug into it with and using a 12volt Makita/Dewalt/Milwaukee tool battery. JUST MAKE SURE you verify what terminal is + or - before doing so

Unless your fancy and have a Computer safe test light with the +/- built in trigger tester/probe from snap on or MAC. Which reminds me I need to get a replacement for mine.
