color has nothing to do with it! There are amber fog/clear fog lights, clear driving and amber (though more used in european countries) driving lights.
If one was to put a yellow 9007 bulb in their headlights, would that make them "fog Lights"? NO. they are still headlights, only now they are yellow.
So stop telling people that all white lights (except headlights) are driving lights.
It's illegal to place yellow bulbs in your headlights, just fyi.

But let me ask you, how could you possibly call something a fog light (in white), a light that blinds you in foggy conditions?

I did say that white lights are either auxiliary lights (aka driving) or offroad lights, we never spoke of headlights, though.

yeah i deffinitly understood that when i put them on.. they go like only 3 feet infront of my truck. may need to angle them up higher.. but the whole reason i tried aux lights. fog or reg. was to have better seeing b.c my headlights freakn blow.. i cant see anything at night.. and obviously no one at autozone could tell me the diff. between the 2 so i got fogs thinkin of rain and snow..but i gues im just gonna have to get new lenses and all.. b.c im not sure if bright bulbs will doo?? the lenses are really hazy

If you are driving in white fog or heavy snow (white) you would want brite yellow/amber lights. all brighter WHITE lights would do is creat a white out effect. the blue head/driving lights might be better then white, don't know never tryed them. High intencaty yellow/amber work best for fog and snow.

Alright, I saw someone asking about factory wiring and relays and stuff. Today I found out that my 1996 XLT 4x4 did not come with factory fog/aux light, but all the factory wiring is there for them. This made installing my offroad lights super easy. There are unused orange and black wires running to plugs on either side of the frame. There is also the receiving end of the switch inside the dash, just sitting there. I extended the wires, put a switch on it and added my lights and it works great.
Sorry if you already knew this.
