Default No Tail Lights

I have a 1999 Ford Ranger where the tail lights won't work when the headlights are on.
I've replaced the fuses (although since the brake lights work I did not think a fuse was the issue).
I've replaced the bulbs
And check both the brake ligtht switch on the brake light and the 6 pin connector in the tail of the vehicle... still nothing.
Any thoughts?

My tail lights, brake lights, and rear hazard lights do not work. Ranger 2001. Could it be a fuse or what else could it be?

Check the connection at the back of the truck. Usually drivers side. There is a main harness that comes back then a "sub" harness that plugs into it to run your tail lights. Mine came unplugged just enough to cause the same issues on one of my rangers. Pull apart, clean, put dielectric grease in the connection then plug back in.

I would start with the head light "knob" so to say. The switch used to turn your head lights on and off. May have a short in there that's not sending the signal to turn on your tail lights when headlights are on.

Why are you checking the brake lights when the issue is with the tail lights? They are completely separate. Use a meter to check the light switch and work your way back along the wiring harness.
