No Crank, No Start
Truck is a 98 Ranger XLT 2wd Auto. It was running fine, no issues. Left the gym and all of a sudden, nothing. Interior dash lights up no problem but no crank, no start.
Thought it was the solenoid since I was able to jump the starter with a screwdriver bypassing the solenoid. Replaced the whole starter/solenoid assembly, still no start.
Terminals are clean, checked fuses, tested and replaced the starter relay for piece of mind, still nothing. You can hear the relay click when trying to start truck. Checked for continuity on large red wire from battery to starter, all is good. Checked continuity on lead/ signal wire from fuse box to starter, all is good. Checked ground as well. Everything seems to be working correctly. Any advice? Need help ASAP. Thank you in advance.

Sorry, I should have mentioned. I am able to start the truck when I run a power wire straight from the battery terminal to the signal wire on the starter.
Which is why I thought it was the wire or relay since I'm bypassing those when running the wire directly.
