Goto the cruise control motor and pull the connector off. Check out the Tan and Light Blue wire (pin4). You should have continuity to ground with a multimeter or with your test light clamped to battery POSITIVE post probing the tan/light blue wire should cause the test light to light up.

thank you so much sheltonfilms, I will check that as soon as possible today. I am SURE an automotive electronics engineer could diagnose this problem in minutes, unfortunately,in this part of nevada, all we have are "bubba" 's that stole enough tools to open a "repar shop" as in "lemme see it, I kan fix it" for 200 buks!

ok, checked continuity between ground and pin 4 AND test light from bat to #4 (just to make sure) both tested good ( pos on grd + light on #4) does this mean the servo is bad, or the brake is sending a ground signal?

Brake pedal position switch will ground out that wire when no brakes are pressed so showing it as a ground is good as far as wiring is concerned (it will shown 12v if brakes are pressed). It could be the servo. You aren’t running the diagnostic test with your foot on the brake are you?

What was the resistance to ground in ohms?
