Question Dtr sensor bypass

Im having a issue with the dtr sensor. My 2000 Ranger has a older a4ld tranny in it. It was put in before I bought it. I had to get it to work and besides no overdrive have had no problems. The other day I went to crank my truck and nothing. After a little messing with everything I came to a conclusion that its the nuetral safety feature. My question is does anyone know how to bypass this? What wires on the dtr would I need to connect to trick the computer into thinking it was in neutral?
