Default HID Installation Problem

Two problems have arisen in installing a Morimoto Elite HID headlight system in my 2001 XLT. The 'flash to pass' feature doesn't work and the big plastic nut that holds the bulb in the housing won't pass over the back end of the HID bulb -it's much bigger than the stock bulb. I'm currently holding the bulb in the housing with duct tape. Help!

Default Re: HID Installation Problem

I think it is a manufacturers defect on your bulbs. I bought “Innovited 35w” bulbs and they went in, granted with a bit of coaxing but it was too bad. My hi-beams work, and the FTP. However I didn’t get the bulbs that have the HID lo-beams and Halogen hi-beams so it makes hardly any difference when the two are on.
