Default Understanding the dual fire b2200 style coil pack system

94 ford ranger
4 cyl 2.3 l

I have a misfire. With that being said. I have some general questions about understand the setup on this duel fire system.
My misfire is on cylinder 2
I have tested my injectors they are firing to spec.
I have pulled the spark plug wires and I'm getting spark out all 4 ends of the intake side.

So my question is this really
If I unplug my exhaust side (left ) coil pack
It does nothing really to the idle at all. (Literally)
I had a code for right side idm too high or open or coil pack failure. I added a ground wire to the ecu cause I had several ground issue codes I felt the ground was the ecu. So that cleared my codes except my tps bad ground. (122)
So I'm not really understanding the duel fire system.
If I pull just one plug from the intake side coil pack. On the icm side. Doesn't seem to make much difference. Unless the exhaust side coil pack isn't hooked up at all. Which you can then see the gas being burnt up coming out the exhaust smelling so rich I can barely stand over the bay.
I'm not sure if I should go buy new plugs and wires.
The coil packs were changed before I bought the truck. I have the old ones. Maybe I should change them out and see if it changes anything ?
Just confused here and not really into throwing parts at it.

Try swapping the coil packs and see if the issue follows. If it doesn't then swap plugs with another one. If issue isn't fixed then swap wires with another cylinder. See if the misfire follows any of these. Make sure you clear codes after each swap. This is just a starting point. Let us know what happens and if any of these help.

I have a 97 ranger with the same motor. This is what I would do before buying parts.

Bought new plugs and wires today.
Still having the issue
(Possibly the icm ??)

The number 2 exhaust pipe doesn't heat up with the other 3 (indication of a cylinder not firing)
So I know where my misfire is.
I'm currently looking for ways to test the ignition control module.

I have pulled all the plugs off on the coil pack side and have visual spark jumping from each one. I know usually cause of the dis system
2 towers will not fire at the same time if it's the icm. But the only one that isn't firing (just judging off exhaust temp) is the number 2.

Famous quotes from you that you still have not apologized for, why should we help you?

"Obviously I put everything down that I did. So the sarcastic questioning is pointless. Good day sir. You are here to shit talk not help".

"Okay bud. I'll shoot you a message whenever I fix it and don't gotta go thru all that,
I still daily the truck so no frustration here. I have 3 other cars."

" I'm sorry if calling someone bud is crappy attitude in comparison to the crappy attitude and shit talking fuck storm I got in reply to my uninterest in talking to him.

"Good luck getting help from anyone in this forum cause none of you apparently know what your actually tAlking about. Can't read. And just wanna spout your "superiority complex" around to people like I'm devastated I can't get your help. There are no other avenues I can take. Woe is me. Go cry somewhere else. "

"I never complained till someone cried about my response of telling you I wasn't interested in your help.

Btw trucks fixed.
Was the fuel pump hose was ruptured.
Replaced and fixed.

But I'm so glad I did a leak down test
And back pressure
And all these other things that had to be done in order to fix the problem.
This thread is now useless. Like your comments. And I won't be using this or any forum related to it again.

I do know Scotty dog.
We both railed your moms last night there missure cry baby.

PLEASE BAN ME NOW BEFORE ALL THESE PUSSIES CRY A RIVER THAT FLOODS ALL THE WAY TO MY BACKWOODS HOUSE "

Funny I thought your truck was fixed?

You made it clear you did not need our help.

Here are some more rantings from you, LOL this is just too funny that you think anyone knowledgeable would help you here without an apology to the people here you offended.

"Your analysis is so completely accurate that my only comment would be ....

You guys are thick in the head.
This is what I get for buying a ford and trying to associate with ford people. You're all quite literally dumb. And dear lord anyone ask for information on things outside of the 3 elements.
No one has yet to address the entire issue of having to have a multimeter hooked up to my car in 20k ohms mode to even start it.

But yes
Let me continue to run fuel air and spark tests for a truck that drives 2 hours back and fourth every day reguardless. Hmmmmm. Makes sense cause I clearly don't have
Fuel spark or air.
So let me test them. Had anyone asked formidably, I would have been glad to inform them (as I thought I had posted it ) that I ordered a fuel pressure Test kit online and was awaiting for it to arrive(pretty sure I even said I was gonna go rent one so I could do it that day just to appease people) and give them these test results.
So here we are with everyone all butthurt , and my trucks good to go. Still driving 2 hours every day each way. Now with the added bonus that I have the power back that I had loss on a ruptured hose in the fuel tank.

Now if someone can advise me a proper way to diagnose my multimeter issue (have already tested and replaced the maf , and connector) I'd love to hear it. Until then , please take your basic bs somewhere else. Idgaf at all if I have offended your code. Either cough up answers or gtfoh. Oh and adios mother fucker.
If you Pansy bitches think I give one iota of a fuck, you're wrong. "

Look we are nice people here that want to try and help.

Yet for that to happen all you need to do is simply say your sorry to those you offended.

I do not even care for myself.

I will even start by saying I am sorry that you extended your hand to be pulled up and you probably felt like you were kicked in the face rather than truly helped.

Come on you can do it, lets dust our knees off, make up play nice and get past this.

These threads make the idea of spraying a cats ass.hole with turpentine then trying to wipe it off with a wire brush sound like fun!!!
