Temp gauge not working, 'check gauge' lamp lit
'95 XLT 2wd temp gauge doesn't budge. I've ruled out the sender. 'Check gauge' lamp lights but only after engine is warm, never when cold, then periodically goes out and comes on while driving. All other gauges function normally. Likely bad temp gauge? The 'check gauge' lamp is to warn of either low fuel, low oil pressure or high coolant temp. So it's an idiot light for the idiot lights. I'm thinking that the temp gauge is sending the check gauge lamp a false signal, anyone seen this?
Thanks,
Richard
