Default Smart Junction Box, broken pegs, & Water

A little while back I got tired of my wipers, radio, power locks, and a few other things not working when they were supposed to and coming on by themselves when they weren't supposed to.
It was all because of the Smart Junction Box. All but one on the pegs that the connectors use to pull in and lock were broken (PO). Water was running into the cab right above the SMJ. A few of the fuse connectors were wonky.
Found a replacement on eBay. Only thing I lost was the daytime running lights.

Curious, what was causing the water leak?

Don't know. Never have figured it out. Happened before and after a windshield replacement.

I really hate those intermittent, clandestine water leaks. My 2008 (bought used a couple years ago) shows signs of having water leaking into the fuse panel/SJB. Fortunately, it no longer appears to be leaking that I can tell. Could also have been someone a little too wild with a water hose washing out the vinyl flooring, I guess...
