Default I keep blowing fuses

Everytime it rains heavily at night, Im blowing the fuse for my headlights. Changed the fuse holder and relocated it, rewired the headlights...nothing works. Whats next? My headlights arent getting water in them and they arent cracked...

Ive gone from a 15 up to a 30 and they work until I am driving in the rain with them on...Then they make it about 5-8minutes before the fuse blows. My brights still work, but not my headlights...Ive even rewired them.

Sounds like a bad grounding point. You will want to switch back to the smaller amperage fuse, because that is an accident in waiting.

The high and low beams use the same ground so its probably not the ground. Otherwise both would be failing.

The high beams and low beams are on separate circuits with separate fuses. Without knowing what you've done as far as re-wiring and modifying, this is impossible to diagnose.

I figured it out...When rewiring it, I cut a corner to not have to rewire my aftermarket tach. Connected to the same wire as the tach was the old wiring with the old headlight switch...It was all corroded, which is why it shorted in the first place...It must be getting wet through the firewall when it rains hard and my tires throwing water up...Redid the wiring to the tach to run it to the new wire and completely disconnected/removed as much as I could of the previous wiring...Everything works perfectly now...even took it to the carwash to make sure since it wasnt raining very much today.
