Bulb conversion
Has anyone converted the standard bulbs (all of them) to LED bulbs and if so how does one do that? Is it simply a matter of replacing bulbs or are there other conversions that need to be done?

Re: Bulb conversion
For the main headlight ones, stick to halogen to not blind others and have better night vision.
All other lights are plug and play. Turn signals will need a new flasher relay and all bulbs need to be installed in the right polarity. (In other words, while incandescent lights can be plugged in both ways, LED lights only work one direction.

I am not really sure, I have incandescent bulbs but my friend with LEDs got one from Walmart and spliced it into his wiring (he drives GM).

Re: Bulb conversion
Just pick up an ep27 relay. I think I walked into my local AutoZone and picked mine up.

Finding LEDs in the desired color that fit the socket is the easy part; spending the time experimenting with different LEDs, LED configurations, and maybe building them yourself, this in search of finding and installing ones that produce a nice, uniform, OEM quality of scattering of the light and without bright/dim spots, this is where the time and effort are at. But.....it's worth it.
*Edit: You can buy your EP27 flasher at auto parts stores or online. Depending on your vehicle model year and what LED's you install for your combo turn signal/parking lamp and/or turn/brake/tail lamp, you just might discover that backfeeding and lights coming on unexpectedly, dimly, etc could be a concern.

Re: Bulb conversion
all led's are not created equally.
headlight led's are basically still in the infancy state but are getting better.
for most everything else, i have plugin led's & led mods for most applications
