I have a 2001 ranger edge with a 3.0. it has power door locks.
The passenger side works fine but the drivers side does not work. only with the key does it lock.
How can I test to see if wire is broken or if I need new parts.

Get you a digital multi meter if you don't already have one and pull your door panel off and find the power wires to your door lock actuator and stick your leads into the wires and operate the door looks. If you have power and no operation you have a bad actuator. If no power then you have a broken wire somewhere

I did pull the door panel and had power to the switch and only the passenger door operated, that made me think either a broken wire or bad activator at the door lock. How do I get to the activator (that part that pushes the lock open and closed) in the door.
