Default Possessed 2009

Hi Out there-- I have a 2009 FX4 4 liter 167k my headlights ( I think it is the Daytime running lights) just seem to have a mind of their own-- The have decided to come on by themselves when the vehicle is sitting shut off . This started at about 164,000 km sometimes they stay on for 10-15 seconds, sometimes for 2 hrs -a few months ago my battery was drained overnight!- I have taken it to Ford-)they have no idea){of course} I have also read that the drl module or diode could be the problem ( Ford says there is no module or diode) I don't know where to go from here-- apparently the 2009 has a different wiring harness than previous years. Could my defunct fog lights have something to do with it?

Stand in front of the truck and read scriptures from the bible. Splash the truck with holy water, and maybe even burn some sage. That should banish the headlight demon.

rangeredge 2014-- It is a Canadian model -- there is no auto setting on the headlight switch-- it has daytime running headlights -they come on when the e-brake is disengaged- There is a drl module here for the 2008 and older models-- but apparently not for the 2009 year( which was the last year you could get one in Canada
