Exclamation 2011 starter click

2011 Ranger 4 cly. 2.3

Engine won't turn over, starter just clicks, but only when plugged into a battery charger set to jump it. When its just the battery I get no response when I turn the key.. radio, lights, nothing works. According to the battery charger the battery reads 12-13 volts, I've checked all the fuses I could, but when I open the door I hear an audible click from the fuse box inside, and the dome light flickers.

Cool Starter click

2011 Ranger 4 cly. 2.3

When I open either door the dome light flickers and I hear a loud clicking noise coming from the fuse well in the cab. Also, the truck does not start, but the starter clicks. Battery, and all connections are good.I have no clue???

Disconnect both Battery Cables, hook your Charger up and charge at the Lowest 12V rate for a few hours. After that hook the cables back up and see if it will turn over.
I suspect your Battery is fried regardless of the indications you got when trying to jump it. If you have the type of battery that you can check to see if there is water in the cells, then check that if you already havent.
After a battery has discharged to the rate you described, I dont think even a slow charge will save it. Get you a new Battery!

The water was pretty low, it took a whole 20oz bottle of water to fill them up. It's on a slow charge now, thank you i'll check back

I slow charged the battery, still the same issue. I'll swap batteries with a buddy temporarily and see if that is the issue

Battery, and all connections are good.

The symptoms indicate other wise. Flickering and clicking relays are perfect symptoms of low battery voltage, not even enough to operate a bulb.
Either the battery is not charged, has shorted cell(s), or has bad connections, or the fusible links are toasted, or the power distribution box has bad conductivity depending on year. The large cable to the starter relay may be loose, etc etc etc.
Battery and maybe some connections are good, but obviously, some of the previous are not.

It sounds like it could be a bad engine ground as well
