Only front lights and reverse lights function after bed replacement on '99
I just replaced the bed on my '99 with the bed from a '00 I found at a salvage yard. I am trying to use the tail lights that came with the '00 since they're already in. (I plan to sell the tail lights from my '99 which I know function.) When I bolted down the new bed I think I made sure to connect all the wiring back up, but for some reason the only tail lights that work are the reverse lights. Neither the turn signal lights nor the brake lights are illuminating.
Additional symptoms/notes:
- I tested to see if the driver's side brake bulb was burnt out by swapping it with a new bulb, but the new bulb didn't illuminate. I didn't bother to check the other bulbs.
- The front lights are all functioning normally.
- When I throw the turn signals, both left and right click much faster than when I had the original '99 tail lights on.
- When I hit the hazard lights button, the front lights function normally, but the rear ones don't illuminate.
- As mentioned earlier, only the reverse lights appear to be functioning.
Any suggestions on where I should start troubleshooting? Could I have forgotten to reconnect something? Could there be pinched wires?
