So sometimes I have a taillight out...both always come on when I turn on the headlights or parking lights, but sometimes when I hit the brake pedal, one is out. Sometimes it's the right or sometimes the left. Never at the same time. Sometimes they both work. I have also notice that sometimes my blinker will blink very fast, left or right. What could be causing this? I replaced both bulbs and that didn't help. This is very urgent because I can't afford to get pulled over and this is all I have to drive

So I replaced the flasher. Checked the brake lights out again, the right side was out, turned on the blinker to that side works fine and both brake lights work when I checked them after I turned on the blinker. Anything else this could be?

Had a similar problem with my VW. Bad ground. I would run a fresh ground from the frame (use self tapping screws) to the tail lights. With the age of your truck that is what it sounds like to me. Bad ground, run new let us know

Any idea of where the end of the ground could be?

not sure of 92, but i would just crawl under the rear end take a look. follow the wires. see where they go into the frame. I would just run a new wire.

Found the ground, cleaned it. Some of the clips holding my wires came undone to so I put them back up, cleaned the taillight sockets and now my lights seem to be working
