Default Electrical issue PLEASE HELP!

Friday night while going back from work i saw my trucks voltage had a slight drop and oil pressure was a bit higher than normal. I checked voltage and alternator had an output of 14.05 volts. Saturday morning i tried turning the truck on and it did not want to start, it had the "Theft" light on.

The last electrical installation I did was about 2 weeks ago and it was relocating my amp, so I disconnected every wire going to the amp. So then i tried turning it on again and it turned over but with hesitation. I gave it two other tries and it turned on perfectly. Turned it "on" and "off" several times and no problem.

I was going to give it a test drive around the neighborhood BUT as soon as i give it gas it it turns off. Not a sputtering misfire, but literally the dash goes crazy and it just shuts off.
The weird thing is i can have it in Park, Reverse or Drive and while holding the brake and can give it a little "rev" and it wont turn off. But as soon as it starts moving thats what makes it go haywire.

Im wiiling to check anything guys, please point me in the right direction i need your help. My baby is down and it bums me out.

Check your connections at the battery. since you have amps I am guessing you have one of those Audio specialty positive battery terminal ends. if so take that apart as well and check the wires and inner connection for corrosion.

I do have an audio terminal that has more connections other accessories. But i disconnected all the additional accessories it had on there and just left the main one, still doing the same.

The problem may be with a battery terminal connection either at the post of the battery on the positive side or negative side.

It may have a problem with the connection at the main positive cable where it connects to this multi wire terminal. take it apart after you disconnect the ground cable and inspect each connection and clean anything that looks even slightly corroded.

The problem you may be having is with the main battery cables that feed the truck.

If the terminal uses a set screw to clamp down the battery cable and other power using devices find a better terminal end, one that does not use a tiny Allen headed set screw to secure your main battery cables.

You had the right idea bro....

It was a bad ground but not at the terminal. My mechanic bud had already started disassemble the dash. He wanted to see if there was any burnt/loose wires. But what gave us a clue were actually the hid head lights. They kept on blinking and blinking like a strobe light, and i thought that was odd. So we grounded the ballast harness straight to the battery, it worked! So i replaced the small ground cable from the battery to body and the bigger ground cable to the engine and connect it to the power steering pump bracket, and that did the trick.

The original ground ends looked good, but somewhere inside the cable(s) they were burnt or thinning. So the truck would turn on right, but as soon as it started moving the ground would move as well.

Glad my baby is back on the road again.
