98 Door ajar
Door is shut but the door ajar light will not go off. I am sure its a sensor of some sort, but the local garage cant seem to narrow it down.
anyone had similar issue?

i had the same problem on my 95. just spray some liquid wrench on the door latch. wd40 dries out over time. they get sticky over the years and the sensor thinks the door isn't fully closed.

I have a 98 ranger as well and had the same issue. I soaked the latch down with wd40 a few years ago and haven't had a issue since.
