Default Interior led lights

Hi guys
I recently purchased an interior led lighting kit and am looking on ways to power it, I'm looking for a fuse in the fuse panel that is not constant and shuts off when the ignition is off but comes on when the ignition is on, needs to be ten amps or less to work with the kit which runs about 6.5 I think, I have an 02 ranger edge any fuse #'s would be helpful! Yes I could meter it but as cold as it is outside piss freezes before it hits the ground and I don't need to stand out in that unless I must.

Secondly, it comes with a second set of wires to split into your dome light wire so the lights also come on with the dome light, Any ideas where I can find this wire at?? Easiest place to get to it? Any help would be very much appreciated

I tapped the dome light itself, and ran my wire through the metal part of the cab ceiling, under the plastic trim of the pilar, into the dash, and connected to my led strips I had 3M'ed under the dash. Very easy, and adds a nice light when you open and close doors, or activate some light power.

Easiest place to tap that wire into the dome is behind your dimmer switch (next to your headlight switch)

When you roll the switch all the way up it clicks into place and turns the dome on meaning that on the back side of it, the wire on the very top is what you tap your positive wire to and your negitive (ground) wire just gets either a self tapping screw into the floor or gets added to a ground screw already in place nearby.

Thanks guys, I'll try to tap in behind the dimmer switch and if that doesn't work then I'll try routing my wires up to the dome light itself and splice into that

The same dome light wire (Black with a light blue tracer, I believe) can be found under the dash as well, near the driver's side fusebox. Much easier than running a wire all the way down.

If you route to the light itself there is no splicing needed.

Yep

----------

They positive and negative for the dome are two Phillips head screws

Well my laziness has not seemed to subside yet, and I just haven't got around to putting them in, seems any means I have to do something always takes forever
