Unhappy Speakers does not get signal, but the sub does

So I'm having an odd problem with my 2006 ranger. A couple of weeks ago none of my speakers got any signal, but my sub did. I turned the truck off and on, and it worked again... This happenden for a while until some days ago my little trick didn't work anymore. I pulled out my Pioneer head unit and pulled the plug for the speakers out of its harness and put it back in, and it worked, so I figured the harness was causing the problems. Yesterday I bypassed the plug of the harness with some bullet connectors hoping that would fix it, but it didn't. The subs still made sounds but the speakers didn't.

I have no idea of what to do now, any suggestions?

Is the radio powering the speakers or feeding a hi-lo converter?

I'm not sure about that. How do I find out?

Well you mention an amplifier(s), is it running just the subs?

If you only have ONLY the one amp running the subs, then likely the head unit (Radio) is running the interior speakers.

You could potentially have a flat spot on a coil, causing a small short in the radio amplifier possibly putting it into a protect mode but I dont think thats it truly.
