Default Viper Smart Start

Thinking about getting this installed (or installing myself) anyone have any experience with it? Best buy quoted me $600 to install the kit, from what I understand it's remote start, lock/unlock and an optional alarm but there's an app you download that allows you to do all of that (as well as a key fob) so the question is..could I install myself? I know there's a bypass module for the PATS system but how hard is it to hookup a remote start? Nothing new by the way I've wired up my KCs and my CB so wiring is easy lol.

What viper system are you thinking about getting? I have the 4105v (Love it), and while it is smart start compatible, the smart start (remote starting, unlocking locking from smartphone anywhere) requires a gps module that has to be purchased separately.
Heres a quick video clip of my system:

I haven't looked it up in a while so I'm not sure which one actually. Nice video though, I've been wanting remote start for a while but priorities put it on the back burner lol

Whatever model you might get, I would definitely have Best Buy (if you buy from there) install it. I had mine done there because I work there and am no good with detailed wiring, but it was really worth it. So many great little features
