Ok I have a 2001 Ranger 3.0 V6 flexfuel

When I turn the A/C on, the oil pressure gauge twitchs to the left really quick then sets itslef right in the middle. It happens right when the A/C compressor kicks on... Should I be worried? Thanks

no its a fake gauge. Hook up a real gauge and all your problems will be solved.

Yup. Its just the voltage drop from the AC clutch making it twitch a little. You'll notice the lights probably flicker a little bit sometimes too. Nothing to be worried about.

I JUST fixed my AC in my 2001 2.3L ranger and had this happen, mind you in two years my ac has never worked so as soon as I replaced the ac compressor and the other components when I turned it on it did the same thing you are experiencing!! I was freaking out thinking that something is wrong!

It's not however which is good reading this thread! Hate to bump an oldie but this helped.
