Default hid hi beams not working

OK so i instaled my hid kit from ddm tuning...
They work but there seems to be a few issues.....
First off they stay on even when lights are off....Are they supposed too?
And second its a hi/lo kit and nothing happens when i flip on the highs. And the highs are hooked up...confused....

help....

Are you north of the border(i.e Canadien)? If so, drl's have to go. I didn't use a ddm kit, but try 'swapping' connectors(flip them 180*) to see if their connections are proper.

Disable drl's by pulling fuse. Before trying to mess with the connectors are you sure your grounds are good? Also if you have relays for your hi/lo kit double check the fuses.

Well turns out I had it wired for 9004's. Work great now but why do i need to disable the drl's?

Hope this helps. According to www.hidplanet.com:
I am assuming low beam, high beam and DLR are all together in the same bulb; then you replace it with a bi-xenon and now the DRL doesn't work.

What happens is that DRL work with only 6 volts and low beam, high beam and hid ballasts need 12 volts, so because the ballasts is not getting enough power DRL do not work and they also work out of the high beam wiring.

What most people do including me is just remove the fuse for the DRL to save your ballasts from damage trying to work with 6 volts.
