Just acquired a 97 ranger xlt my wipers only work on high, no wiper delay at all. Have had the low setting work twice after having them on high and turned them to low speed to stop them. When I hit the low speed setting, to my surprise on those 2 occasions they slowed and continued wiping until I switched to the delay setting then I only had high speed again. Was thinking the wiper motor, but if the motor was bad they most likely wouldn't work on high either is popular opinion. Have read about a speed control box near the column, not sure what its called? Also thought about replacing the multi switch, not exactly sure where to even start to be honest. If this is a common issue I figured maybe someone would know how to pinpoint the problem without replacing multiple parts and just guessing.
