Made a custom switch panel and need some help wiring. I know how the switches work, but not sure how to wire this many up. They're not all going to any accessories yet; I just want to wire them to the power-source (my battery or fuse box?) so I'll just need to plug the accessory into the switches accessory tab.

I'm pretty darn sure I can just piggy back the ground from switch to switch, but do I need an in-line fuse for each switch or can I use a single in-line fuse from the battery or fuse box and just piggy-back the line from switch to switch like the ground?

From the second image top to bottom, the tabs are positive, accessory and then ground. I got my ground wires all spliced together and connected to the switches and tested it. The switches light up and everything. I'm thinking one in-line fuse from the power source connecting the positive on the switches and then an in-line fuse for each accessory will work.

Help would be appreciated.

are the switches just turning on relays ,if they are you can join the hot side same as the ground .

The switches aren't connected to anything yet, but I want to put them in place for future use. I'll eventually have them power on led lighting at the front and rear and interior of the vehicle.

I did more research and decided I'm going to run a single line from my battery to the switches with one 30amp in-line fuse and then Daisy-chain it from switch to switch. I'll then run the accessory line from the switches in the cab to a relays I'll put in the cab and from the relays to the accessories.

I don't think small accessories like LED dome lights I'm going to put in the cab and the bed need relays though. Maybe just an in-line fuse to them. Suggestions?

Are those switches rated to carry a continuous 30Amp load?

That would be my concern, most are rated 10-15 amp. Ideally what you want is 1 8ga wire connected to a circuit breaker at the battery side. Then run the positive from the beaker to a new fuse block near the switches (blue sea makes nice ones) then to add a 10 amp fuse and daisy chain to all your switch power.

Next your accessory or load pin goes to trigger a relay. Then each relay is powered from the fuse block with the appropriate size fuse for the load of the accessory.

Each switch is 16A 12V, so yeah I should use a different fuse.

No problem! I just ordered a ton of stuff to rewire all my accessories. Mine is set up very similar to what your trying to do.

But I have added so many other switches it's alittle messy for my taste so I'm going to rip it all out and start over lol

I've pulled all my wiring out and redid it all too. It still is a contained mess but way better than before and I don't think I want to do it again.

You may be better off to buy a switch box. They are pre-wired with relay, breaker and fuses.

Luckily the wiring in my truck hasn't been messed with much so everything is where it is supposed to be. I will not make a mess of things. I want to do it right.

Ya I'm anal about wiring so if it's not perfect I'm changing it lol. Just ordered $300 worth of switches wire and instal parts to tune up the system.

Out of the way, but accessible, the power runs into then back out and back to my power inverter (that i was using today at the bone yard to charge my batteries.. )
