Default reverse light circuit in cab. 2002 automatic

If this gets double posted, sorry. I think the first one sent from phone failed.

I recently added a Kenwood DVD system with rear camera ability. I added a camera and wired the camera with power from the reverse light of the trailer harness. When I ran it I did not know to run a second wire back to the Head Unit to trigger auto display of the camera when in Reverse. The HU does allow me to turn on the camera manually but it has to have power (when in reverse) to work.

I could run a wire back up to the head unit, but would rather tap into one in the cab. I have an Automatic. Anybody know were the reverse indicator switch wire is in the cab where I can tap into it?

I'm also considering tapping a wire into the rear bed lights to come on with the backup lights if I can get an easy source of power.

Rob (Lazy and not wanting to crawl under the truck again)

Should be a harness coming from the accessory relay box behind the center of dash on the left side. In there you should find 3 black wires with pink stripes. The thicker of the two should be your reverse signal. The other one is for the cargo lights.

----------

2 black/pink wires. 3 was typo.

I searched for the wires for about a half-hour then decided it would just be easier to run a wire from the back. It all works now. Thanks for the info though.
