Default Battery Cable ideas

I own a 93 Ranger Super Cab 4.0 4x4.

+ and - battery cables will run $120 - $130 for oem. That's a lot. I realize each cable has several tentacles, but is there a cheaper (or should I say less expensive) route?

I'm not fimilar exactly what you are working with, but what is wrong with the terminals you have now, why do you need to replace both? Depends on what is wrong, like if the length of wire is still good (check with a meter), you might be able to get away with just changing the battery connections to the wires with some from the local auto store.

Might check Rock Auto, but if it needs to be OEM, going to need to find someone who can get you a discount at the dealership, try Ebay, or just pay the price for OEM.

I'm assuming your batt terminals wire size is 1 awg. Go to your local electrical supply house, and pick up some 1 awg welding wire with vinyl insulation. It should cost you around 3 dollars a ft ( at least that's how much it's running out here in NM). After go to your local auto parts store. Pick up your batt terminals, and all your batt cable hardware plus connections, and some noalox. That should do it. Good luck Jim.
