Exclamation Can't find Blinker Relay HELP

Hi everyone again. I can't find my blinker/signal flasher relay. I just bought a LED Relay so I can hook up my LED bulbs. Can anyone help me on this please. I really need to find out before heading out of my house. Oh and I have a 02 Ranger. Thanks

Under the dash adjacent to the heater ducts on the driver side middle. Its a plastic box with a cover on it and there are several relays and flashers in it. You want the first one.

No, I haven't... and that's a myth, anyway. There's nothing wrong with the old-style fluid, either... you can use it for 100,000 flashes, or for 1,000,000 flashes (like the synthetic stuff).

I did, however, upgrade the blinker fluid pump and blinker fluid reservoir to units pulled from a Lincoln Continental in the boneyard -- much more efficient pump, and significantly larger reservoir, so the blinking is much, much smoother, and without the random syncopation that is often seen in the blink rate of vehicles with lesser quality pumps (and/or low-viscosity blinker fluid). This is one "driveway mod" that's definitely worth the time/trouble!! I don't remember the exact Ford part numbers off the top of my head, but you can just ask at the Service/Parts counter at the Ford dealership for the appropriate part numbers -- make sure you specify that they should be looking for the Lincoln part numbers, though!! (...because all of the Ford/Mercury parts for this subsystem are the same on all Ford/Mercury vehicles).

I know that I already changed it. Using my old LED lights waiting for new ones in the mail. What's this talk about Blinker Fluid?

...I suppose it is possible, in your 3.0L Flex Fuel Ranger, that they skimped a bit on the luxury items and built it using standard 'manual' blinkers.

no worries, though -- you should be able to upgrade your system with the blinker fluid assemblies, pump, and reservoir from an XLT Ranger (2001 or later). Better yet, just stop by your local Ford dealership and price out the Lincoln parts for the upgrade -- it's a lot cheaper than you'd think, and the added reliability and precision on-off-on-off-on fluid-assisted blinker circuitry is a definite asset (and may even add to the resale value of your truck, should you ever decide to sell it [but, who'd want to do that??]).
