Default Factory Trailer 4-pin harness

The brake lights work and blinkers work but the running lights won't stay on. I cleaned out the corrosion inside the driving light part of the plug on my truck and it didn't solve the problem. I also have no idea where the fuse for the harness is. My truck is a 2001 xlt off road with the 4.0L engine if that makes a difference Any info would help!

No on the actual trailer. If you have a bad ground or it has come loose it will do what you say. No running lights but the blinkers and break lights will work.

Especially if they come on and then quit. If you clean up the ground go ahead and restart the truck to send another pulse to get the running lights on. Sometimes they won't come back on even if you unplug the trailer and plug it back in.

Do ya know the approximate area the ground would be on a boat trailer?

I would think it would be on the tongue somewhere.

Do you know where the fuse would be for the harness?

Temporary fix. The connector on the trailer where it got spliced into the wires was unhooked
