I have and 88 Ranger 2.9L engine 4X4 I like it so far. Having some trouble though. I'm fixing somebody esles trouble. On and 88 ranger dose the fullpump stay on or dose it shut off after pressure builds up. if not any ideas on what's wrong. It's IFE full system multiport.

Also horn dosen't work, not a fues issue.

When the key is put on to run, the fuel pump will prime for 1-2 second 2 times each. Once the engine is running, it will run constantly. It's a return style system, so it's constantly circulating fuel.

As far as the issue, will need to know what symptoms you're having.

The horn can be hit and miss, you might start with hooking up a test light to the wire that's hot and see if it's getting any power. If not, work back, it's possible that the switch isn't functioning anymore.

If you turn the switch to on or run but don't start the pump will run and not shut off. It will not pump up to 32lbs. and shut off waiting to be started
